Last summer, Imogen was brand new and never had the chance to explore the outdoors much -- or if she was outdoors, we really never put her down to let her feel the grass or sand. Now that it's warming up, we've been taking her outside to play in the yard. The first time we set her on her feet in the grass, she just stood there. Literally for at least 5 minutes, she did not move a millimeter. We eventually sat her down and then she held her hands up and woudn't touch it. After a few swipes of her arms and a seemingly safe new toy, she started grabbing, and the grass didn't have a chance. She pulled and pulled and pulled! She was having a grand ole time! Now, she loves to walk on it, although the uneven terrain can sometimes get the best of her. The two photos above are her first experience with it in our front yard. The bottom two are at my parents house over the weekend.

thats so funny! that is actually one of the things i'm looking forward to moving back there. the grass here feels like hay and you can't sit in it like that anyway b/c you will be attacked by fire ants.
